Originally from Boulder, Colorado Julia graduated from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2020. Julia graduated with a dual degree in Digital Marketing and Spanish Language & Literature.
Alongside her coursework, Julia has sought out both paid and volunteer opportunities within the natural foods industry to further develop her skills in digital marketing. Through these experiences, Julia has learned important lessons about versatility and adaptability as well as the value of social media marketing as a key resource to small businesses.
Following specialized courses, certifications, hands-on internships, work experiences, and lots of passion, Julia has established a confident career as a Social Media Manager in San Diego, California with a special emphasis in Social Media and Influencer Marketing within the lifestyle and natural foods industry.

Work Experience
PQ Swim— Social Media + Community Manager
While in her role at PQ Swim, a woman-owned luxury swim and resort wear brand, Julia worked to develop strategic social media and influencer marketing campaigns. Julia was independently responsible for the production and curation of content across all social media platforms on a daily basis in addition to in-depth analytics reports, paid ads reviews, multi-branded giveaways, website optimizations and more. In addition to social media management, Julia also built an ambassador network from scratch, launching a new luxury gifting and events program to gain support and engagement from an international list of online creators, celebrities, influencers, and brands.
KWSM Digital Marketing—Digital Marketing Strategist
In her role at KWSM, Julia worked with management to develop high-level strategies and marketing campaigns for a wide variety of clients. In addition to creating monthly analytics reports outlining website activity and key achievements across social channels including Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and more, Julia also produced professional marketing materials including social content, blogs, graphic designs, paid ads, ebooks, fact sheets, white papers, and case studies.
Birch Benders—Social Media Manager
Through Julia’s position at Birch Benders, she had the opportunity to build and grow their influencer and collaboration network, reviving relationships in the natural foods community. Additionally, Julia was able to increase reach by nearly 2 million impressions on Instagram, allowing her to strategically plan the company’s first-ever exclusively eCommerce launch.
Farm & Oven—Digital Marketing Manager
In working as a Digital Marketing Strategist for Farm & Oven, Julia supported the company’s transition to go national and brought them well over their social media goals on all platforms, gaining valuable skills in time management and self-motivation. Additionally, Julia created social media graphics, ongoing social content, and developed a successful ambassador program.
Volunteer Work—Project Manager
Julia has had the pleasure of volunteering and freelancing with several other companies throughout her experience in digital marketing. Through these experiences, Julia has been able to demonstrate her expertise in the field as well as her passion for helping others in achieving their dreams.
During her internship at Walking Tree Travel, she had the opportunity to create a full year’s worth of original copy and content through a planned social media calendar as well as contribute to their company rebranding under Smithsonian
While working as a volunteer consultant for underprivileged entrepreneurs in South America, she learned just how impactful her work can be in inspiring others. After only one week of consulting, she was able to support the entrepreneur in succeeding in her dream to partner with a nearby café, giving her a location to host free art classes for youth in the area.
